Outpatient care aids recovery - 06/07/08
When Pat Kester needed partial knee replacement surgery, she had a couple of options.The retired Appleton teacher could have had the procedure done at Appleton Medical Center, which would have required an overnight stay at the hospital, or she could elect to have surgery through an outpatient center. She chose the latter, because it meant she did not have to stay in the hospital, ultimately saving her some money.

Orthopedic & Sports Surgery Center Receives Accreditation from Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) - 11/07/07
The Orthopedic & Sports Surgery Center located within the Orthopedic & Sports Institute of the Fox Valley has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC). The status of an accredited organization means the Orthopedic & Sports Surgery Center passed a series of rigorous and nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care, set by the Association.

Take advantage of our FREE walk-in Sports Injury Clinics throughout the
fall sports season!

• Be seen by an orthopedic specialist, without an appointment
• Open every Saturday, August 25 through October 27, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Treatments and x-rays performed during your visit are free-of-charge

Medical Mentoring Program - 07/16/07
This summer, 45 local high school students will get the rare chance for an inside look into health care. Through Medical Mentoring, the Orthopedic & Sports Institute of the Fox Valley, along with Appleton Cardiology Associates and the Neuroscience Group of Northeast Wisconsin, will give local students the opportunity to job shadow a health care professional.
