What is comprehensive care?
Comprehensive orthopedic care is an approach that combines many of the key services needed to make your experience more convenient and more effective all in one location. At the Orthopedic & Sports Institute, we offer testing, diagnosis, surgical and non-surgical treatment, and physical therapy. Patients benefit because they spend less time and effort getting the care they need.

Do I need a referral to see a doctor at Orthopedic & Sports Institute?
Most patients are able to make an appointment with an orthopedic physician without a referral:
- Medicare and other government-sponsored programs do not require a referral
- Most private insurance companies do not require a referral to see your orthopedic surgeon
- Wisconsins Workers Compensation system does not require a referral, but you must notify your employer prior to your first appointment
If you have a question about your specific plan, please contact the customer service department of your health insurance company.
What can I expect when I come to the Institute?
We created a positive, patient-friendly environment with amenities that include a learning resources library, concierge desk and children's play area. The main lobby features a fireplace and waterfall. All doorways are wheelchair accessible, and wheelchairs are available at our front door for your convenience.
