One of the doctors in our group is always on call after regular office hours, on weekends and on holidays to handle urgent medical problems (other than those that require an immediate emergency room visit). To reach us at one of these times, call the number you always use to contact us; our answering service will make sure a doctor calls you back. If you cannot reach our on-call physician immediately, go directly to a hospital emergency room. The physician on duty there can evaluate your problem and provide treatment as indicated until our arrival.

PRESCRIPTION REFILLS

Most prescription refills can be handled over the telephone by contacting your doctor’s nurse. Because the doctors are not in the office every day and each case must be reviewed before we can continue medication, we ask that you call before your prescription is completely out. The doctor who is on call in the evenings and on weekends may not refill prescriptions for controlled substances.
